Homeland Security

Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, the government committed unprecedented resources and focus to protect the nation on federal, state and local levels. In the largest government reorganization of the past 50 years, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was formed by consolidating 22 separate agencies into a single department responsible for border security and management, transportation security, and first response capabilities. Prior to the formation of DHS, Nortel Government Solutions had a long-standing history and worked closely with many of the agencies integrated into the new department. Since DHS's inception, Nortel Government Solutions has been actively engaged in supporting a number of important homeland security initiatives.
